Focus
To be an integral part of the successful development and implementation of a new IT Strategic Sourcing Vendor Management function for one of Australia’s major energy companies, under the IT Strategy and Governance group. Key objectives include providing enterprise strategic sourcing and vendor management support for the organisation and IT projects across the business. Also, working to maximise the contribution of IT to business performance through:
- Best practice governance of outsourcing contracts and effective vendor management processes
- Successful negotiation of contracts and agreements
- Establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships with various partners
- Managing go-to-market processes
Results
Working closely with the IT Program Director and project team, successfully managed the release of an RFP for a large IT project. This included assisting in the development of the MSA, along with navigating the complex corporate governance landscape to support this. This was done amongst the backdrop of being involved in the development and implementation of a new IT Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management operating model for the company.
Also successfully managed the vendor management processes across a number of different and major complex IT projects in varying phases across the enterprise. This support included negotiation of vendor contracts, vendor management and dispute resolution. Major IT vendors included SAP, Oracle, Accenture, Wipro, HP, IBM, Microsoft and Telstra, along with a number of smaller specialized IT vendors.
